Equally fluent in English and Spanish, Ms. Gutierrez is trained and licensed to practice law in both the United States and Mexico. In the United States, she is admitted to practice law in California federal and state courts. In Mexico, she is admitted to practice in all courts and jurisdictions, and is registered as a licensed attorney with the National Registry of Professions.
Ms. Gutierrez received her law degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro, Mexico, in 2008, having graduated top 2% of her class. In 2010, Ms. Gutierrez received the degree of Master of Laws in Business and Corporate Law from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Before forming Coasterra Law, Ms. Gutierrez worked as an Associate Attorney at Scudi & Ayers, LLP, where she focused her practice on Business/Commercial Litigation and General Civil Litigation in State and Federal courts. Ms. Gutierrez currently serves at Scudi & Ayers, LLP as Of Counsel in assisting clients with their cross-border transactions.
At Coasterra Law, Ms. Gutierrez focuses her practice on business and commercial transactions governed by U.S. law and Mexican law. She is uniquely well-qualified to advise U.S. and Mexican clients in cross-border commercial and business transactions, including direct foreign investment in established businesses, or structuring and operating new business ventures.
Ms. Gutierrez is also proficient in intellectual property laws, specifically Trademarks, as well as immigration and nationality laws of both the United States and Mexico.
